STUDI TENTANG PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN ROAD TECH 2000 TERHADAP SIFAT-SIFAT TANAH EKSPANSIF
Keywords:soil stabilization, expansive soils, Road Tech 2000, water content, shear strength.
AbstractIn this research, micro-organism based admixture called Road Tech 2000, is used to stabilize expansive soil taken from West Surabaya area. The laboratory experiments conducted comprise soil characteristics, swelling potential, and shear strength determination. The results show that Road Tech 2000 is able to maintain the moisture content of the soil, reduce its plasticity (PI), and decrease its swelling potential. The addition of Road Tech 2000 does not affect the strength of the expansive soil, in terms of Unconfined Compressive Strength UCS and CBR. However, a significant strength increase was observed in the soaked CBR test.
